Covid - 19 


Due to the current COVID -19 Pandemic SOCS will continue to adhere to guidelines set by the CDC as well as guidelines that will be enforced by SOCS including but not limited to pre season waivers setforth by the league and townships that ball fields are in.

SOCS  Guidelines

The following questions need to be answered PRIOR to every game.  If answering "yes" to any of the following questions YOU MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN OR ATTEND  ANY GAME.
1. Have you experienced any signs or symptoms of Covid - 19 , including without limitation, a fever of 100.4 degrees or higher within the past 72 hours?
2. Have you cared for , or have been in contact with anyone in the past 14 days diagnosed with Covid - 19?
3. Have you been diagnosed with Covid-19 within the past 14 days?
4. Have you been advised to self quarantine?
5. Have you traveled outside of the U.S in the past 14 days?

Game/ Field Guidelines
1. Covid- 19 SOCS waivers must be signed and submitted to the league prior to any player participating in games. Waivers will be checked against rosters, and if a player does not have a signed waiver, they will not be permitted to play. 
2. Players will maintain social distancing while in dugouts/ benches. Player's gear/bags should be spaced out out along fences. Masks are encouraged while exchanging lineups. 
3. Players will not share bats , gloves , water bottles,etc. If players agree to share bats, they should be disinfected between each player. Players assume all risk and responsiblity if personal items are shared. 
4. Spitting, chewing gum, and sunflower seeds are prohibited. 
5. Please refrain from high fives/fist bumps/ team huddles/ after game lineups / touching other players. 
6.Hand Sanitizer  should be used between innings and after batting. 
7. Masks are optional, unless one is " unable to consistently maintain a distance of six feet from individuals who are not members of their household."
8. Please review CDC Guidelines with your team.
9. If you are sick do not come!
10. Each Team will have a point of contact , if a player does fall ill. You MUST report your illlness to your Point of Contact and ALL other applicable parties. All postive Covid - 19 results will be released to close contacts. 
11. Games rules may be altered upon discretion of coaches prior to start of games. 
12. Fans/ spectators are discouraged at this time, unless they are members of the same household.
